Yesterday, I installed that last of the software fix ups my computer needed. Today is a new day. I noticed that my sound is louder but that is all that seems to be different. You would think that a new system and a cleaned up hard drive would show but it doesn't. Not that I am complaining, I am just glad it's is back. In my nervousness I made 50 little oragami boxes and straightened up my studio while waiting for things to repair and load. It has taken a week and many tearful sessions with desperate prayers to fix. I made a new brooch to show how I am feelin today. She is so sunny.

I was surfing the net for some way to draw faces on fabric, and came over your site, I just love the brooches. I just wonder, are the faces hand painted? or do you use a printer? I was planing to make some sort of dolls but I don't know how to make their face :D

Imera,
That is a good question. This particular face is a photograph that I took of a doll that I own. I brought the picture into photoshop and fixed it for printing and then printed it on fabric. I make these faces for cloth covered buttons but I am not sure how this would work for a full doll. I don't see any reason that you couldn't draw a face and scan it in the computer and print your image on fabric. I don't know how computer savy you are. Printing on fabric is better than trying to drawn on fabric because of the crispness. Also you don't print it until you like what you have drawn. Dolls are so fun. What kind of dolls are you gonna do? Do exciting. Rita
