Deju Va!!

I am doing the same thing this saturday that I did last saturday. I am making more doggy pins and cards. Yesterday I picked up a rubber stamp that I had made. I think I am going to have more made. It was so easy.
I ran across this little article the other day and reminded me of my mother. She always whistled while she was working. I know that somedays I catch myself whistling while I fold my laundry. She gave me so much. My sisters are also guilty of this whistling. ha!
The article came from the book "Golden Rules, The Ten Ethical Values Parents Need to Teach Their Children" by Wayne Dosick

Whistle a Happy Tune

Do you see the glass half full or half empty? Do you call the day partly sunny or partly cloudy? Are you an optimist who, in the words of James Cabell, claims we live in the best of all possible worlds, or a pessimist who fears that this is true?

When you "whistle a happy tune," you can show your children that whatever the situation, whatever the challenge, you greet life with good cheer and good will.

When you have a positive, confident, upbeat attitude, you can teach your children that real happiness comes not from having or acquiring, but from being; not from external circumstance, but from inner contentment.

I know my mother did not read this book so it must have been something she learned from her own mother or father. What a great gift for her to give us kids.

So true! And, nice to be reminded of it now and then. Thanks!
